Karen Hansen
Biography
Karen is currently an Earth and Environmental Sciences instructor at a private college. In the past she has worked on projects that have involved mapping in the Sierra Mountains, and disclosing geologic and environment hazards to various levels of and government agencies and the real estate industry. Another favorite project was traveling throughout the state California to the construction and vintner industries regarding soil stabilization matters.
She also was a part of a start-up in which she helped develop, market, and sell an enzyme solution to a number of industries throughout the United States to Fortune 500 Companies, having designed sales and marketing materials as well as information required for regulatory agencies.

Karen's writing portfolio includes web content for scientifically related information sites, industry trade newsletters and blogs, and researching and compiling peer-reviewed literature reviews and background information. She has also put together sales slicks and shelf talkers, grant writing, and press releases.

She maintains a blog regarding food matters beyond the tastes of the palette, and to the consequences of our choices with respect to the ramifications of society as our economy, health, and how we treat each other. Karen also writes as a Solar Power Examiner and Environmental Examiner for the City of San Francisco.
